Chat workspaces
Using a chat thread
Write messages, attach files, share threads with teammates, and pick up conversations coming in from WhatsApp.
What this page is for
A chat thread is a single conversation with Zenning. It remembers what you have already talked about, can pull information from your connected apps, and can take actions on your behalf. This page is where most of your work will happen.
Starting a new thread
- 1
Tap New chat at the top of the sidebar, or press ⌘N.
- 2
Type what you want to do — a question, a request, or a task.
- 3
Press Enter to send.
Attaching files and images
Use the paperclip in the composer to upload a file or image. Zenning will read the file and use its contents in the conversation. You can attach more than one file to the same message.
Sharing a thread with teammates
- 1
Open the thread you want to share.
- 2
Tap Share in the top bar.
- 3
Pick who should have access, or copy the invite link to send in your messaging app.
- 4
Your teammate accepts the invite on the share screen and joins the thread.
Renaming a thread
Every new chat starts with the title “New chat”. To rename it, click the title at the top of the thread and type a new name. Zenning also suggests a name automatically after your first reply.
Threads coming in from WhatsApp
If a thread started from WhatsApp you will see a small WhatsApp badge next to the title. Everything you say in that thread is relayed to the person on the other end, and their replies appear right here.
Tip: Threads you do not need anymore can be removed from the menu at the top of the chat — this only removes the thread from your sidebar, the history is kept.
